The Lazy i Story

Sandwiched between Wham-O’s release of the first Frisbee in January, and the October launch of Sputnik by the USSR, 1957 introduced the world to the idea of Lazy iBuilds. Yes, indeed Lazy Eye Bob was born, and with a lazy eye.  Why Bob? Did his older sister have a lazy eye? Of course not!

After birth, a bunch of stuff happened between 1957 and 2022, and here we are today.

The Lazy iBuilds Shop, the Lazy I philosophy, and the Lazy I way of things! R&B music, hamburgers, Diet Pepsi, Mrs. Lazy i, (AKA the iBeauty,) Winky, Kaylor (RIP 2023), and working on Lazy iProjects.

This is a hobby, obviously. I am not for sale!

In 2013, the Lazy I and Mrs. Lazy iBeauty bought a home on an acre in a suburban northern CA county. One of the benefits of this property was the large outbuilding, (a wee bit larger than a standard two-car garage) at 26' x 28'. Between 2014 and 2017, this building was  restored beyond its original condition and purpose. See Shop tools for specifics.

Update January 2024...After a rough end of 2023 with the loss of my little brother Charlie, the Lazy i is back in the workshop having survived through a busy season at work, family time which was a blast (after 2023) and finally getting a project (near) finished I had started back in 2021. Really? 2021 you say? Well yes, it was to build 16 pantry cabinets for the iBeauty in her larger than a bedroom kitchen pantry. Photos soon on the site.
